5 * Hotels on Praslin
or, Why not be afraid of the high cost of Raffles Seychelles compared to the Constance Lemuria Resort?
In Seychelles, there is a curious feature in the hotel industry, which should be taken into account when compiling a travel route, if you are planning to visit several islands. And especially if it is only one island, where you will spend as much as 10, 14 or more days.
On Mahe is an excellent choice of 5 * hotels and guest houses, but there are problems with quality 3 * and 4 * hotels: there are not enough. In this regard, demand always exceeds supply, so the vast majority of the best in price-quality 3 * and 4 * hotels are booked 3-6 months in advance.
But on Praslin there is the reverse situation: a wide selection of 3 * and 4 * hotels, but only two 5 * beach resorts: Constance Lemuria Resort and Raffles Seychelles.
Myth:
When travelers are just starting to get acquainted with these two hotels, almost always the same impression is formed: Raffles is too expensive. People sigh, looking at the alternative - Lemuria Resort, a well-known resort with a long history, which began in 1999.
Perhaps the huge villas with Raffles' pools in a luxurious panoramic picture have such an effect on consciousness.
Fact:
In most cases, both of these hotels are comparable in price, and sometimes Lemuria is even more expensive than Raffles, if you take into account the tariffs of different seasons, and special offers that are applicable when drafting the program.
Question of tourists:
Which hotel would you prefer if the price is almost the same?
Our answer:
Both hotels have their advantages and features. They have a completely different concept and location. Raffles is fundamentally different from Lemuria in that in Raffles absolutely all rooms are separate villas with private pools and a spacious terrace - a seating area. Raffles was opened in 2011. In Lemuria there are simply Junior and Senior Suites, and villas with swimming pools. A distinctive feature of Lemuria is the golf course.
To an active and inquisitive tourist we would suggest spending part of the holiday first in one hotel, and then in another. However, if unnecessary movement is not to your liking, you can do this: in one trip, stay in Lemuria, next time in Raffles or vice versa and make up your personal impression. Many of our travelers have gone this way. And almost all of them initially considered Raffles inaccessible, and then they were pleased with the pleasant discovery.
